Bob Marley:One Love - Film Review 2024

Image
On Saturday 2nd March I went to see the ‘Bob Marley Movie and I through it was a good film to see the cinema and if you where thinking about going to see it with friends or family, this film it good for both male and female. The Film is set when Bob Marley at the peck of his career in the late 1970s. One thing you get from watching this movie is that he was about peace and unifying people together with his music. This movie is not a fun popcorn movie and where it makes fun of this great man; through the fact he was big into marijuana. In the film we do see the acting portraying him smoking when he is in rehearsals and relaxing. But that is not what this film about it is about how he used his talent to build a better world for him and his family. The film could not have come a better time. There is a lot of destruction in this world. With President Putin and his invasion of Ukraine; the Israel-Gaza conflict in the middle east and politicians trying to do their best for normal pe...

The Nan Movie

Image
A few weeks ago, I was scrolling down the TV looking for a good light-hearted movie to watch and came across ‘The Nan Movie’. Written by Catherine Tate and Bred Goldstewin, and staring Catherine Tate, Matthew Horne and Katherine Parkinson. I remember watching Catherine Tate in ‘The Catherine Tate Show’ on BBC two from 2004-2009. The character Nan is one of the one character Catherine Tate portrays and probably the funnies and well-known character, from the series, that deserves her own movie. The film starts off when Nan receives a letter from her sister, who is dying, and asking her to come and visit her in Ireland. Her grandson Jamie, played by Matthew Horne known from ‘Gavin and Stacy’, persuades her that this could be her last change and that she will only regret it, if she didn’t go. Nan reluctantly decides to go on this trip to Ireland and the two of head of to visit her sister. The movie is basically a road trip across the UK and Ireland, full of comedy and drama. How the m...

Thor:Love and Thunder

Image
Thor: Love and Thunder is the latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU. It stars Chris Hemsworth coming back to play the God of Thunder, along with Natalie Portman as the Mighty Thor (female Thor) and Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Taika Waititi and Russell Crowe. The film is a certificate as a 12A which means that children under 12 can watch the films as long as them are with an adult. Children will want to go and see this film, it has everything that they would want; a story line, plenty of actions scenes, comedy and quirky one liners. I went to see this myself with my dad. Thor: Love and Thunder is a fun popcorn movie and is suitable for all the family to watch, relax and enjoy. The film begins with the villain, Gorr, played by the brilliant Christian Bale, who we all know from also playing Batman in the dark knight trilogy. We get a good introduction to Gorr and the main plot of the film. Then it flips to Thor flighting a battle with the Guardians of the Galaxy. It was...

Image
This past week I have went out to the cinema to watch the latest Sonic the hedgehog movie, Sonic 2. The film is both entertaining to watch and suitable for all the family to watch even families that have children who are grown up, even something for anyone over twenty-five who grew up playing Sonic the Hedgehog on the SEGA Mega Drive If you where a child in the 80s, 90s, 00s and even now, you will have been familiar with the little blue hedgehog known to everyone has Sonic. This is Sonic’s second outing at the cinema and, if you are looking for family fun film or something for much older adults who grew up with this blue hedgehog who has supersonic speed to trave home across the world in a matter of seconds, then this a film for you. The film continues from where it ended in the first movie with Dr. Eggman, played by the talented Jim Carrey, stranded on the mushroom planet trying to get back to earth to get his revenge on Sonic, voiced by Ben Schwartz. That is what the story is all ...

Appartition Hill One night I was browsing on YouTube at what videos there was avaible to buy and to rent, when I came across this documentary on Medjugorje. I watched the trailer for it and discovered that it was wortth a watch. The documentary is directed, edited and produced by Seab Bloomfield It follows a group of people from different parts of the world, from different background that are in different developments on their fath journey.  When watching the documentary th group of people are no different from you and me and that is one of the factors that make this documentary good to watch because i have been out to Medjugorje with my family, as well as going on youth trips to lourdes and other places when i was doing youth ministry. The things that they are discussing would be the same things that I, myself have found myself. Discussions that  are: 1. Is there a God 2. Is Judas, who betrayed Jesus, in heaven 3. Why is the stature of the risen christ at Medjugorje weeping wa...

The Legend of Zelda:skyward Sword HD remake  For any Legend of Zelda fans out there! Yesterday, Nintendo direct had a big announcement for lovers of of the Zelda series. We have been heard rumours from different sources on google and YouTube these past weeks and months and I can finaly say that we have an answer. Coming to stores and download is the legend of Zelda:Skyward Sword HD for Switch and Switch lite, from watching the luanch trailer I, myself, am getting excited for this upcoming version of Skyward Sword.  Skyward Sword is one of my favourtie Zelda games to play. The game used the Wii motion controls very well because with using the Wii control and nunchuck, one your hands was your sword and the other han was your shield. this was a good move by Nintendo because it allowed the player to feel like they are in the game and the player had to think on their next move. I am glad to see that they have managed to include this into the Swtich motion controlers. So, that anyon...
